NATIVE TALK’S performances are a unique combination of storytelling and performing arts accented with music. Storytellers Chaz and Cathleen become Coyote, Raccoon, Woodpecker, and Mole as they share traditional California Indian tales. Brandon provides the music and sound effects with flutes and a variety of folk instruments. Their clever use of props set the scene of each story.

These lively presentations are educational, entertaining and enjoyed by all ages. The Luiseño language and history are integrated into each performance.
Each presentation is unique and specially arranged for the venue. The length of the presentations may vary from 35 to 60 minutes, depending on the event. Longer performances can be arranged.
Cathleen is also available as a visiting teacher/guest speaker for all grade levels. In addition to stories, she shares Luiseño history, language, artifacts, and music.

Performances are adaptable to stage, classroom, parks, historic sites, or any other location. NATIVE TALK provides its own sound system.
NATIVE TALK’S presentations promote cultural awareness and preservation.
